‘Liger’ Trailer Is Packed With Action, Vijay Deverakonda’s Washboard Abs, And A Hardly Visible Ananya Panday
Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer Liger‘s trailer is now on our screens. The first full glimpse of this action-packed film, opens with massive wrestling rings, followed by consecutive scenes of our very own Vijay fighting the goons. The much-awaited film backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Production has already created a lot of buzz amongst fans, but we are still hoping for something more than action and ear-splitting music.

A stammering Liger is introduced to the viewers, who is a tea seller by the day and MMA fighter by night. Apart from Vijay, other members of the cast including actress Ramya Krishna, who plays the actor’s mother appears in a fierce avatar. Other fast pacing scenes introduce to us actor Ronit Roy who is seen guiding Liger as his coach. The female lead in the film–Ananya Panday too has a manageable screen time, but her long curls and twirls make her disappear in a minute. Well, we hope she’s got more to do.
Shouldered by Vijay who plays the titular role–Liger, in most parts is showcasing his physical strength, and flaunting his washboard abs with hardy a dialogue making it to the trailer. As we move forward, an interesting cameo by former professional boxer–Mike Tyson slides us into surprise. The 56-year-old is seen dressed in a cow-boy ensemble mouthing lines like–” If you are a fighter, then what am I?” followed by a wicked smile. This special appearance honestly feels like a cameo by superstar Rajinikanth in an action Hindi film.

The film indeed looks like a delight for Vijay Deverakonda’s massive fandom and the lovers of good action. It also marks the actor’s Bollywood debut. Filmmaker Puri Jagannadh, who is known for some great work in the Telugu film industry, has directed the film and produced it alongside former actress Charmme Kaur, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta. Liger is slated to hit the big screen on August 25, 2022, in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages.
