For the uninitiated, Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to the ICU in Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after testing positive for Covid-19 earlier in January. She was also diagnosed with pneumonia and kept under observation due to her age and underlying health conditions. Even after recovering from Covid-19 and pneumonia later in January, the veteran singer remained in the ICU and was put on ventilator support after her health condition worsened. She was later taken off ventilator support and was conscious. Lata Mangeshkar’s doctors had revealed that her health was improving as she had been off the ventilator for three days. Just as the doctors were preparing to discharge her in the coming week, the legendary singer’s health condition worsened again. Just a few days ago, speaking to the media, the doctor had said that the singer was critical and under aggressive therapy.
