‘Koffee With Karan’ S7 E10 Review: Siddhant And Ishaan’s Bromance Paired With Katrina’s Sweet VicKat Revelations Warmed Us Up Like A Hot Cuppa
I feel like, over the last 2 months, Koffee With Karan has become a weekly routine in my life. What else is there to do in the middle of a weeknight but to watch our favourite celebrities talk about everything from career to romance? And I was especially excited for this week’s episode as we were anticipating the cast of the upcoming film Bhoot Police starring Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi. This was the first time a trio was invited by “red hot chilli papa” Karan Johar on the couch and while there were some revelations, the unexpected wholesomeness is what kept me grounded throughout the episode.

Katrina’s Revelations About Vicky Kaushal
Can we all just have a moment of silence mourning the fact that we will never meet someone as adorable as Vicky Kaushal? This one episode of Kat talking about Vicky has me shipping them even harder now. Find you a man who will put up a 45-minute dance concert for you on your birthday just to make you laugh. Vicky is officially the standard! And can we all just take a moment to gush over how much Kat appreciates Vicky for who he is? Haaay nazar naa lage! The way Katrina discussed Vicky proves that one does not need external validation for one to have genuine love and appreciation within their relationship. Ahhhh my heart cannot deal!
Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi’s chaotic friendship and epic bromance
I was not sure what to expect from Ishaan and Siddhant but they had me in splits throughout the episode. From being a whirlwind of random comments and jokes to being genuinely sweet gentlemen, these boys charmed tf out of me and feel free to consider me a (lowkey) simp. As for their dynamic, they literally reminded me of my girlfriends. Why? Because literally no one flirts with me as aggressively as my girlfriends do and the same goes for Ishaan and Siddhant. While we loved listening to all the VicKat romance, the Ishaan – Sid romance was a fun surprise.

Katrina, Ishaan and Siddhant’s dynamic
I am a lover of the calm and energetic relationship tropes and this trio did not disappoint! Ishaan and Siddhant’s hyper and loud personalities were perfectly countered by Kat’s elegant and calm presence restoring the balance of the couch. I love that while bringing so much enthusiasm to the couch, the two of them were so sweet and respectful towards Kat. And it was evident that Kat had a fun time with boys two as the three constantly cracked jokes at each other’s expense and could laugh at themselves too.

Ishaan Khatter Is The Non-Toxic Ex We all deserve
When asked by KJo about his relationship status and breakup with Ananya Panday, Ishaan Khatter had nothing but positivity to spread. Can we all just applaud the fact that Ishaan called out KJo for trying to grill Ananya during her segment on KWK earlier this season about her relationship and breakup with Ishaan? And when asked who broke up with whom he simply questioned why it matters. THIS IS A HEALTHY BREAKUP, PEOPLE! Moreover, he has nothing but love for Ananya saying that she is a complete sweetheart and a very dear person to him. He even went ahead and admitted that he missed everything about her. Ah, sweet!

Siddhant Chaturvedi addresses the roundtable fiasco
If you guys remember, back in 2019 in Rajeev Masand’s roundtable with Ananya Panday he responded a comment made by Ananya about her struggles of being a star kid within Bollywood. This caused a lot of memes and hate towards Ananya. However, when asked by KJo in KWK, Siddhant said that he meant no harm when he made that statement and was simply speaking his truth. He also said that we can’t keep complaining about nepotism and it is better for each to work hard and let the audience decide.

Karan Johar was surprisingly tame
KJo is known for trying to rouse some juicy tidbits from his guests about their personal life, sometimes probing to the point of discomfort. However, I did notice that KJo put aside his overbearing neighbourhood aunty persona this time and genuinely focused on having a fun time with his guests. While he did ask a few questions about love, sex and relationships, he clearly didn’t push for steamy answers like he usually does. And while I do enjoy the weekly gossip KWK provides me with, I like the overall sense of respect this episode had going on.
Final Verdict
I have to say that this episode of Koffee With Karan was by far my favourite. Not only did I enjoy the dynamic that Katrina, Ishaan and Siddhant shared but I loved their conversations with KJo too. Plus, while I was already prepared to feel ultra single over Katrina and Vicky, I wasn’t expecting the wholesomeness and comic relief Ishaan and Siddhant’s bromance and banter brought to the episode. 10/10 would recommend it for wholesome friendships and some unproblematic, fun humour.
