Johnny Depp Gets Support From Women’s Abuse Group Amidst The Amber Heard Defamation Case

In 2018, Amber Heard wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post in which she claimed that she was a domestic abuse survivor. Though the piece does not mention Depp by name, the piece severely harmed his career and reputation. After which Johnny Depp filed a $50 million defamation case against the Aquaman actress which is currently ongoing. Looking at the trial now, it seems as though the tables have turned and people are coming out more in support of him rather than her. In fact, a women’s abuse group have even come out in support of Johnny Depp

Yep, an abuse group that defends the rights of women and children, Mission NGO, which is led by Valeria Altobelli, former Miss Italy, has openly backed Johnny Depp in the ongoing defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard. She even wrote an open letter that was publicly shared.

The founder of Mission NGO wrote in support of Johnny Depp. The statement reads, “Violence is a serious topic… As women, as mothers, we have the duty and the responsibility to educate our sons and daughters, that’s to say, the Future Generation, in the light of the values of dialogue, respect and compassion between men and women, without any gender distinction, in order to prevent violence with the weapons of love and education.”

Valeria Altobelli continued, “In deep respect of the victims of domestic abuses that we have to affirm for intellectual honesty are, generally, WOMEN, we feel to express, as women, as mothers, as free thinkers, our compassion for Johnny Depp in this bad page of his personal history.”
