Huma Qureshi Shares Poster Of ‘Tarla’ Where She Will Invoke Nostalgia By Playing Tarla Dalal
I have always had an innate love and passion for cooking. Because of that, I have grown up being obsessed with Sanjeev Kapoor, Harpal Singh Sokhi, Aditya Bal, Ranveer Brar etc. However, out of all of these, I remember being absolutely in love with Tarla Dalal. I remember my first introduction to Tarla Dalal being via a small cookbook of hers called ‘Low Calorie Sweets’. While I was too young to be actually making any sweets (and caring about calories), I obsessively read her book from cover to cover which I believe pushed me to try my hand at this lifelong hobby when I grew older. Hence, I was super enthused to see that director Piyush Gupta (the co-writer of Dangal) is coming up with a biopic of the late TV chef and cookbook author Tarla Dalal who will be played by Huma Qureshi.

Huma Qureshi just posted the poster of Tarla, which is the tentative name of the upcoming biopic which will focus on and explore the personal and professional life of Tarla Dalal, a household name we all grew up with. According to sources, the biopic is a quick production and is under a rapid schedule to wind up the movie and pack up. The poster was captioned, “#Tarla ke tadke se aata hai mann mein ek hi sawaal Kab milega mauka to experience unke swaad ka kamaal. Miliye Tarla Dalal se aur jaaniye unki masaledaar kahaani. Filming now!”

Considering that Huma comes from a hotel and service industry background herself, I am looking forward to her take on Tarla Dalal as a character. For the unversed, the actress’s father is a hotelier and owns multiple eateries around Delhi.
