Is Waleed From ‘Ms. Marvel’ Actually Dead? Farhan Akhtar Teases Us With A Happy Possibility!

Is Waleed From ‘Ms. Marvel’ Actually Dead? Farhan Akhtar Teases Us With A Happy Possibility!

Farhan Akhtar’s character in Ms Marvel created such a buzz. He appeared as Waleed i.e. the leader of the Red Dagger group in Karachi. His small yet influential role in the series left fans huffing and puffing for more. This is probably why the conversations around his scenes got so heated on social media. Expectedly, of course, Farhan’s role as Waleed is trending!

Waleed (Farhan Akhtar) has a very heroic entry in the plot, he plays a very essential part in helping Kamala Khan  (Iman Vellani) understand her great-grandmother, Aisha, the idea of Noor, and the truth of the Clandestines, as a group of exiled people who want to destroy their world and take over till nothing remains.

He also introduced her to the emotional side of the Red Dagger as they welcome her and gift her the greatest gift one could ever hope for, the gift of love and history in the form of an amazing green jacket. He also helped her and sacrificed a lot for her safety including his own life which moved me to tears, for real.

Fans have been complaining about the fact that this harsh and traumatic ending to such a noble character was unfair and I totally agree. They have also been hoping to see Farhan Akhtar again, in the series. This is what drove AV Club to ask him about the same in an interview about his debut in Marvel and his answer has left all of us with a hopeful and positive light in our hearts.

Along with revealing the fact that he has always been crazy for Marvel and this is a dream come true for him, Farhan said, “Now, you know only Marvel can answer this question. But all I can say is young Red Dagger (Aramis Knight) didn’t even check Waleed’s pulse. So we’ll see what happens!”

He also went on to comment on the plot and how it has been built to throw light on a very essential part of the history of the partition, “I really love is how the series ties into the story organically because of how the Partition had a direct impact on Kamala’s family, from Aisha to her grandmother. Of course, there’s learning about what happened between India and Pakistan, but it ties in nicely and in a strong emotional way with the narrative of the characters. That’s also what’s really important and lovely to see!”

This leaves me hoping and praying to see Farhan’s character on the show, again. Meanwhile, we do have a list of wonderful cameos coming up ahead including one from the hot and talented actor, Fawad Khan, hopefully in the very next episode, to tide us over. Are you as excited as I am?
