Evelyn Sharma Isn’t Shy About Sharing Her Breastfeeding Pics Despite Being Trolled For It; Says It “Shows Vulnerability And Strength At The Same Time”
You know what I find amusing about the society that we live in is the fact that we shame, abuse, and troll women for doing the things we tell them to do their whole life. We tell our girls that there is no greater feeling in the world than the feeling of being a mother. And yet, when a woman shares/talks about their experiences of motherhood – like breastfeeding, stretch marks, postpartum depression, etc. – we tend to troll them for doing that. Just take the instance of Evelyn Sharma who is rigorously trolled on social media. Why? Well, because she decided to share pictures of her breastfeeding her baby girl. But what I admire the most about her is the fact that even after it all she doesn’t stop from posting and posts those pictures with pride. Just as she should!
Evelyn Sharma who recently gave birth to her daughter Ava has been creating quite a stir on social media for posting pictures of her that show her breastfeeding her daughter. And as you’d expect in a hypocritical society like ours, she was slammed for showing her ‘private parts’ on social media. What even?

However, what is amazing about the Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani actress is that the actress hasn’t let all that negativity stop her from posting more pictures. Speaking about it in an interview, Evelyn Sharma said, “Such images show vulnerability and strength at the same time. I find it beautiful. Breastfeeding is one of the most natural and healthy things to do. And it really is why women have breasts in the first place. So why be shy about it?”

She further adds that breastfeeding is a natural process that is way harder than it seems. Evelyn Sharma adds, “When you start out as a new mum, it is often physically and mentally exhausting, particularly cluster feeds. I shared my story to let mums out there know that they aren’t alone in this.”

Being a new mom is never easy and often there are times when a new mom might feel alone. I believe that when women share their own experiences of motherhood, it makes the process easier and gives hope that they are not the only ones going through it. And if this isn’t sisterhood, then I don’t know what is.
