Early Reviews Of Disney+ ‘Ms. Marvel’ Are Out, And There’s A Nod To SRK That Everyone’s Loving!
Marvel’s Disney+ slate has been throwing so many curveballs at us, that every time a new show is announced, I get excited. Naturally, Ms Marvel was the one that got me most hyped! Kamala Khan, played by Iman Vellani, is a pretty big deal for Asian Marvel fans because she is the first Pakistani American superhero in the MCU. And now, critics who were lucky to catch an early look at the first two episodes have put out their reviews on Twitter. They are absolutely loving it so far! What’s more, there’s a surprise element in the series, and no I am not talking about the two heartthrobs, Fawad Khan and Farhan Akhtar, that we know are going to be in it. It’s Shah Rukh Khan who gets a nice little nod in the series!
The first two episodes were made available to a few critics before the actual release of the series in June, and the reactions to them are already here. Reviewers are going crazy about how amazing the episodes are. Some users have called Imam Vellani an, “absolute delight to watch”. She has also been referred to as a “star in the making”.
I thought that #MsMarvel was unexpectedly great! One of my favorite Disney+ MCU show yet. Charming and genuinely funny, it's almost like a more diverse version of SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING (for better or worse). Iman Vellani is a *star*. I can't wait to see the next four episodes. pic.twitter.com/0h8ko6rl5R

I've seen the first two episodes #MsMarvel, and it's a fun teen superhero show with thrills, humor and heart. And Iman Vellani is PERFECT as Kamala Khan. The series is a big creative step forward for the MCU and an even bigger step forward for Pakistani representation. pic.twitter.com/ata0FSnsqI

The cultural representation of Iman’s character was also praised by several critics.
#MsMarvel is a bright and colorful high school fever dream. Kamala Khan’s superhero journey is nuanced and her navigation of the modern world as a Pakistani-American Muslim teenager is relatable yet culturally specific. Iman Vellani is a delight. And those perfect music bangers. pic.twitter.com/Z49mlCHRik

I am happy to report that the first two episodes of #MsMarvel are absolutely delightful. Iman Vellani is a revelation in the role, just irrepressably bubbly and charismatic. But it's not just froth – it's also a beautiful ode to family, the Pakistani culture, and Muslim faith. pic.twitter.com/lda9863bLH

Ms. Marvel garnered praise for its writing, which many said was witty and gripping!
Based on the first two episodes of ‘Ms. Marvel’ I have to say, I’m all in!
Bisha K. Ali’s writing is witty and engaging, while Iman Vellani shines as Kamala Khan. With warmth, heart and impeccable comedic timing, Vellani embodies all things Kamala with ease.⚡️#MsMarvel pic.twitter.com/kkAemnurgB

#MsMarvel is a big blast of energy. It’s a coming of age thrill ride that never takes itself too seriously. Stylish, silly, and so much fun. Ms. Marvel’s powers are a unique addition to the MCU. I really loved these first two episodes.
Make no mistake: Iman Vellani is a STAR. pic.twitter.com/DZc7yUfUGi

But our favourite review came from film critic and journalist Courtney Howard, who tweeted that Ms. Marvel gives a nice shoutout Shah Rukh Khan, and therefore called it the “best Marvel series ever”. You’re not wrong, Courtney!
They shout-out BAAZIGAR, DDLJ and SRK (“There’s no such thing as a bad Shah Rukh Khan movie”) in #MsMarvel episode 2 so *obviously* it’s the best Marvel series ever. ❤️🥰

Of course, SRK fans could not keep calm after this!
It trips me out that we now have an #MCU project that features not one, but two scenes with characters discussing #ShahRukhKhan @iamsrk 's filmography. #MsMarvel #KamalaKhan @MarvelStudios
