You know the best films really that connects most with the audience consist of certain elements like drama, emotions, loads of action, the victory of good over evil and definitely a strong hero. And what’s better than a superhero film that actually comprises all the elements and when the superhero is a woman, it literally adds an interesting angle to the movie. And you will be excited to hear that Dakota Johnson might be joining the superpower girl squad pretty soon. She is in talks to play the first female superhero Madame Web in Sony Pictures’ Marvel character universe. Dakota with superpowers, interesting!

Sony is trying to expand its superhero universe of Marvel characters and recently they approached Dakota Johnson for the title role in Madame Web movie. The film is confirmed to be directed by S.J. Clarkson and Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless will be working on the script. Talking about the superhero Madame Web, she was first introduced in a 1980 comic which was written by Denny O’Neil and illustrated by John Romita Jr. The spider-hero is depicted as an elderly woman suffering from a chronic autoimmune disorder called myasthenia gravis and requires the life support system which looks like a spider-web. Due to Madame Web’s age and medical condition, she can’t actively fight with the super-villains but uses her psychic sensory power to help other spider-heroes. According to the reports, she plays a key component in the interconnected multiverse and her powers will benefit Spider-Man and other heroes. Considering that Dakota Johnson is quite young to play an elderly woman, many people are speculating an interesting twist from Sony for the new superhero character. The film is one of many Spider-Man spin-offs.
