Rajkummar Rao And Bhumi Pednekar’s ‘Badhaai Do’ Poster Just Dropped And We Can’t Help But Wonder If It Has Something To Do With The LGBTQ+ Community
I have always enjoyed movies that have a strong social message to it. So, it shouldn’t come as a shock that I not only watched the National-award-winning movie Badhaai Ho starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Neena Gupta, and Sanya Malhotra but also ended up enjoying it. And then when I heard that a sequel of the movie was being made, I genuinely couldn’t contain my excitement. Yep, Badhaai Do starring Rajkummar Rai and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles is the sequel and they just dropped their poster today, on January 24th, 2022. And to say it looks intriguing, would be an understatement.
Taking to her Instagram, Bhumi Pednekar shared the poster of her upcoming movie with co-star Rajkummar Rao – Badhaai Do. In her post, she expressed her excitement regarding the release of the movie’s trailer that is all set to release on January 25th, 2022.

Bhumi Pednekar sharing the Badhaai Do poster said, “Arre yaar, ab toh ye secret kal out ho jayega ! Kyuki kal aa raha hai hamara trailer aur hum aa rahe hai theatres main. Hey bhagwan, I am very excited ?❤️”
The movie poster shows Rajkummar Rao in a police uniform and Bhumi Pednekar in a PT teacher attire – both as bride and groom. Judging from the Badhaai Do poster, I have a strong feeling that it will have to do something with regards to the LGBTQ+ community – I mean, it is really hard to miss the colours of the community on Bhumi’s dupatta and Rajkummar’s turban, oh and also the rainbow that Bhumi added in her post. And if that is not enough, the words “Out of the closet in just 1 day! Badhaai Do Trailer out tomorrow ??❤️?” should prove my point further.

Badhaai Do is a family entertainer that is directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, written by Akshat Ghildial and Suman Adhikary, and produced by Junglee Films. It is also said to feature Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkummar Rao alongside actors like Seema Pahwa, Sheeba Chadha, Lovleen Mishra, Nitish Pandey, Shashi Bhushan amongst others.
With the Badhaai Do trailer dropping tomorrow, January 25th, 2022, I hardly think I’m going to get any sleep. Ngl, I have high hopes for this sequel of Badhaai Ho.
