Anushka Sharma Criticised By Troll For Supporting Husband Virat Kohli. What Is This Hypocrisy?
For as long as I can remember, women in India are taught that no matter what they have to stand by their husbands – in the good, the bad, or the ugly. But when a wife does exactly that – supports her husband’s decision which the society doesn’t approve of – it is this same society that criticises her, trolls her, and puts her down. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this is exactly what we call hypocrisy. And an example of that would be the man who criticised Anushka Sharma for celebrating her husband Virat Kohli in his decision to resign as India’s Test captain. Why are we going after her again!?
Very recently Virat Kohli announced his decision to resign as India’s Test captain and as expected the cricketer faced a lot of criticism for his decision. But amidst all that negativity, Anushka Sharma took to her Instagram to share an emotional, heartwarming post on her husband’s illustrious career and personal growth.

But instead of seeing how Anushka Sharma was and is so supportive of Virat Kohli, there was a journalist named Rohan Dua who saw this gesture as questionable. He took to his Twitter to criticise the actress for making a ‘spectacle’.
Quite don’t understand that captaincy or leaving it merits such back to back purgation of emotions by a couple when only interest paramount be that of Team India. Never before spouses of greats Sehwag, Ganguly,Sachin,VVS, Gambhir,Dhoni made spectacle of their careers.#ViratKohli pic.twitter.com/RAgYTMBl0C

In his tweet, he targeted Anushka Sharma and her post stating, “Quite don’t understand that captaincy or leaving it merits such back to back purgation of emotions by a couple when only interest paramount be that of Team India. Never before spouses of greats Sehwag, Ganguly, Sachin, VVS, Gambhir, Dhoni made spectacle of their careers.#ViratKohli”
The journalist in a follow-up tweet further went on to say that Anushka Sharma lacked the “decency and resolve” that other family members of great players had displayed in staying away from the sport.
Such was the decency & resolve to stay away from glory & opulence of cricket that only recognizable appearance Tendulkar’s wife Anjali made was during his last match ! Not a word before/after.
Kumble & Srinath had their moms jump out in joy during 1996 Titan Cup, with innocence.

Needless to say, this criticism of Anushka Sharma started up a debate in the comment section where many users lent their support to the Bollywood actress and called the journalist out for his sexist and misogynistic comment. Among her supporters was stand-up comedian Aditi Mittal who slammed him in her tweet saying, “Man, find someone to love you. I promise two other people loving each other won’t bother you that much.”

Why does this bother you?You have a problem with Kohli so you tweet about it;rightfully so, because it's your freedom. His wife has similarly & doesn't need to take lessons from others.Kohli,Champion cricketer&Captain;his achievements speak for himself.Opposition teams feared him.

Why? Because blaming women is easier? Is he the reason why her movies flop?

She is addressing the post to her followers and wives of the players you have mentioned didn't have their own followers. You will be surprised to know Anushka Sharma has more followers on Insta than sachin tendulkar.

She has all freedom to do it and we are no one to say no to her.

Do you have problem if Wife wishes Anniversary to her husband through Instagram post with heartfelt message ?
This is exactly same thing but after her Husband stepped down from Captaincy…

Actually you can just ignore this if you don’t like it. Her emotions and she has a right to them, no?

The sad thing about this entire incident is the fact that this is not the first time that the Sultan actress has been blamed for showing support to Virat Kohli. If a match went wrong or if he did not score enough runs or if he did not perform well, etc. she was blamed and endlessly trolled for it. I mean, I don’t see these trollers trolling or criticising Virat when the actress delivers a flop, then why does she bear the grunt? Now, I’m not saying he should be trolled for it, I’m just saying that it isn’t fair that Anushka Sharma bears the grunt of it all for just existing and being his wife.
And it’s not just her. Many women in their day-to-day life face this. I genuinely do not understand why a woman is blamed for everything and nothing at all? The hypocrisy of it all shocks me but doesn’t surprise me anymore.
