A Definitive Ranking Of Anime Men That Are Made Of Pure Husbando Material
If you tell me you have never simped over a fictional character, I will judge you and think you are weird. And no, having a fictional crush is not weird considering the type of people we have in reality; this is a hill I am willing to die on. And if you are a weeb like me you have anime men (and women) that you simp on and will sell your soul for. I refuse to believe that I am the only one with questionable morals here; this only works if we are all honest with each other.
So my weeb best friend and I discussed our favourite anime men and the ones we collectively would drop everything to marry. I am going to be vulnerable here and talk about the anime men that are just husband material, plain and simple. They are attractive and definitely have the potential to be the ideal husbando to your waifu. And to make it interesting, I shall rank them too! So here is my ranking for anime husbandos you should be simping on:
1. Howl Jenkins Pendragon (Howl’s Moving Castle)
I lost my heart to this man at 18 and never got it back. He’s a powerful wizard with a literal moving castle! Other than his powers, his charm, gentleness and mildly bratty nature will make you want to envelope him in a tight hug. And he makes a pretty mean plate of breakfast too. Not husbando enough for you? LOOK AT HOW BEAUTIFUL HE IS!

2. Kakashi Hatake (Naruto)
As most anime characters would say Kakashi is “KAKKOII!” which essentially means… HE’S COOL AF. Kakashi is so suave and yet has his little quirks which make him adorable! While he doesn’t show it very clearly, he really cares about the people in his life and would protect them at all costs, very husbando if you ask me. Plus, he too really loves his students and wants the best for them. And look at that majestic hair and his one Sharingan eye! Moreover, all his fights are simply ICONIC!

3. Loid Forger (SPY x FAMILY)
The new addition to my husbando list (and I assume to all of yours’ too if you watch SPY x FAMILY) is the cool, suave and brilliant spy Twilight aka Loid Forger. A spy disguised as a psychiatrist with a loving family made up of his adoptive daughter, Anya (who I would happily be a parent to) and his mutually-agreed-for-convenience wife Yor, with Loid you don’t have to dream of how he’d make a great husbando, you can see that in the four episodes that are currently airing or the 60+ chapter manga series. He can cook and he can clean, and there is a clear scene to show how he gave that ring. Loid Forger, with his blond hair and blue eyes, is the embodiment of modern husbando. Not only is his dynamic with Anya very telling of how great a dad he’d be but his soft and gentle treatment of Yor will make you swoon.

4. Levi Ackerman (Attack On Titan)
This short king is short just so he could fit in our hearts. Not only is this man a perfect husband material because he loved to clean and organize like he’s Marie Kondo’s long lost cousin, but he also can save you from big, catastrophes when in danger- just look at his fight against the Female Titan and the Beast Titan (fidget spinner action at its best). Jokes apart, Levi is a headstrong man with morals and the tsundere kind of empathy which makes him the perfect fit for a husbando.

5. Gojo Satoru (Jujutsu Kaisen)
This 6 foot tall, lanky, white-haired dude may look like a Kakashi rip off but he’s much more than that. He’s annoying and a menace to society and that’s why we love him. Many of the husbandos I have mentioned are righteous but not this man. He loves causing chaos and is constantly making light of serious situations but he does pull through, and this can be seen when he genuinely cares for his students and his friends. He wants to make this world a better place because he has the power and resources to do so. But who cares about his personality when he’s got the looks and bank balance that makes you want to husbando him up!

6. Kento Nanami (Jujutsu Kaisen)
Nanami might seem like a boring and average man but you are highly mistaken. Similar to his very interesting cursed ability, Nanami is calculative and methodological. What makes him interesting (and very husbando) is his sense of responsibility care, consideration, and dedication to his work (plus he is a total gentleman). Moreover, he’s one of those rare adults in anime who actually sees the children as actual kids and tried to be gentle with them. And other than being pretty hot he’s also a tsundere which adds to his appeal.

7. Keishin Ukai (Haikyuu!!)
Ukai is an underrated king and I will keep repeating that. Firstly, I’m a sucker for piercings on men. So… as you can see, he has hit a spot for me. Secondly, I am also a sucker for men who are good with children and while I wouldn’t call Ukai gentle like Nanami, he definitely loves his kids and pushes them to do better while having faith in them. AHHHH THIS MAN!

8. Tengen Uzui (Demon Slayer)
Okay okay, I know Tengen has 3 wives but hear me out! He’s a loving and loyal husband. Like… he was in an ‘entertainment district’ and his only priority was looking for his wives! Also, think of the time he asked his wives to prioritise coming back home to him over any mission and also putting themselves over him. Plus can we just appreciate how amazing he is with dressing himself and how absolutely ‘flashy’ he looks at all times?! So, as much as he’s loyal to his 3 wives, I volunteer to be his 4th. I said what I said.

9. Portgas D. Ace (One Piece)
A bit of a spoiler on this one: This son of a Late Pirate King can steal my heart as loot because look at him- hot, tattooed, freckled face, if that doesn’t scream husbando then what does? He’s polite (well as much as a pirate can be) and he really cares for what he believes in…or should I say that in the past tense? He raised his two sworn siblings and he was protective of the ones he loved. A husbando we lost too soon…but you can always revisit his life partner characteristics in the 1000+ episode epic anime.

10. Akihiko Kaji (Given)
Okay, if you’ve watched Given then you have polarizing views on Akihiko Kaji. I personally love his character and the growth he showed once he found the men he loves. And as I have already said… PIERCINGS WILL BE THE DEATH OF ME. Moreover, he’s a drummer and is such an adorable simp for Haruki Nakayama! Like if you can’t simp over me that way, we ain’t gonna be together. Also for those unversed, Akihiko is also into women and has been shown to be with them before Haruki too.
