‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’: Ajay Devgn’s First Look Poster Revealed From The Alia Bhatt Starrer
“Gangu chaand thi aur chaand hi rahegi.” I remember around February last year (2021) I wanted to recreate a celebrity’s look from a film and just around then, Alia Bhatt had unveiled the teaser of her film Gangubai Kathiawadi. And me being me, I actually went ahead and recreated a look from the teaser of the film. TBH, I was so taken by the teaser that I actually did my research about Gangubai and also read Hussain Zaidi’s book ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’ and that’s how I fell in love with his writing. If you haven’t figured it out already, let me put it in words – I CANNOT wait to watch Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi! Just a few days ago, Bhansali Productions announced on social media that the Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn starrer will release on February 25, 2022. And yesterday, February 2, the makers released a new poster of the film that really blew us away. But apart from that, Bhansali productions shared the trailer of the film will be launched on February 4. Now, on February 3, the newest poster of the film has been released and get this – it’s Ajay Devgn’s first look!

Doesn’t Ajay Devgn look dapper in that look? This is the first time that the actor has reunited with the ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali after nearly two decades. Ajay Devgn was last seen in the director’s 1999 film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.

Bhansali productions have also shared a post sharing that the trailer launch of Gangubai Kathiawadi will be one of the biggest launches ever. They have urged invited all fans to watch the launch of the film’s trailer on the big screen in theatres across India.

If you still don’t know this – Gangubai Kathiawadi is a crime drama film that revolves around the life of a simple Kathiawad girl who lands up at a brothel in Mumbai after her lover cheats her. But she soon learns to embrace destiny and her life and goes on to become a madame, Gangubai, in the red light area of Mumbai’s Kamathipura. This film is based on a chapter of writer Hussain Zaidi’s book ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’.
