5 Female Romance Authors Who Will Raise Your Standards For Love Sky-High!

I ventured into the world of reading with Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight book series when I was 16 years old, and ever since, romance has been one of my favourite genres to read. To make the male and female characters love and long for each other is an emotion that every few authors can deliver right. And the rightly written romance books set your standards way too high, and it becomes nearly impossible to find love in real life! So, ahead of Book Lovers Day, I decided to list down five female authors who wrote the best romance books – the kind that are swoon-worthy, where the male character is hot AF but only has eyes for the female character who captured his heart from day one.

1. Tessa Bailey

Reading Tessa Bailey’s books is cathartic for me. She fleshes out the best characters and her plot makes you want to root for the male and female characters to have their first kiss. And oh, the kind of smut she writes is to die for!

2. Casey McQuiston

Casey McQuiston has penned some of the cutest queer romance novels that have made me squeal in delight! Her very first book, Red White And Royal Blue, is at the top of my recommendations list always.

3. Ali Hazelwood

Ali Hazelwood writes romances about women in STEM. Oh, the chemistry between the characters she writes is sizzling and the male characters are some of the hottest fictional men ever written!

4. Emily Henry

Emily Henry’s books are mostly all enemies-to-lovers but the angst they feel seeps through the books and makes you angsty too! It is super heartwarming to read in her books that the male character always falls first and he remembers the minutest things about the female character.

5. Christina Lauren

Christina Hobbs and Lauren Billings come together to co-author their books, and have around 27 books to their name. Their romance books often feature a dual POV which makes the reading process so much more exciting knowing what is going on in both the male and the female characters’ minds!
