When I was younger, I remember I used to watch Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, every night. I mean, it’s a family entertainer but definitely not a kid’s show. The show surprisingly dealt with taboo subjects – and your parents let you watch it too
Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi dealt with subjects like marital rape when Tulsi’s son Ansh assaults his wife Nandini. And Tulsi, protects her by shooting him. The show also dealt with infidelity and affairs in a more sensitive manner, which is often seen as black-and-white by our society. And I am glad my parents let me watch that! Such nostalgia!
