Raveena Tandon’s Haircare Ritual For A Rainy Day Is The Best Relaxing Method

Monsoon has arrived, bringing with it an abundance of humidity that can often wreak havoc on our hair. We find ourselves dealing with frizzy, greasy strands that seem to have lost their natural texture. While we can’t control the humidity, we can certainly take steps to combat frizz and restore hydration to our hair. Even Raveena Tandon understands the importance of intense hair hydration. In fact, she recently indulged in a relaxing nariyal tel (coconut oil) champi on a rainy day. If you’re curious about how to give yourself a nourishing oil massage, read on.

Why Hydration Is Important?

Hydration is the key when it comes to taming frizz and restoring vitality to your hair during the monsoon season. A good oil massage provides deep nourishment, replenishing lost moisture and promoting healthy hair growth. Raveena Tandon’s choice of nariyal tel is particularly beneficial due to its rich hydrating properties.

How To Do It?

To begin, warm the coconut oil slightly by placing the container in a bowl of hot water for a few minutes. Warm oil penetrates the hair shaft more effectively, providing maximum hydration. Once the oil reaches a comfortable temperature, you’re ready to proceed. Section your hair into manageable parts, allowing you to focus on each section individually. Take a small amount of coconut oil and massage it into your scalp using your fingertips. Apply gentle pressure and use circular motions to stimulate blood circulation, promoting hair growth and relaxation.

Continue massaging the oil into your scalp for a few minutes, ensuring that it is evenly distributed. Next, work the oil down the length of your hair, from the roots to the tips. This helps to seal in moisture, minimize frizz, and impart a healthy shine. Once you’ve applied the oil thoroughly, wrap your hair in a warm towel or cover it with a shower cap. The heat generated will allow the oil to penetrate deeper into the hair follicles, maximizing its hydrating benefits. Leave the oil on for at least 30 minutes, or ideally overnight for an intensive treatment.

After the designated time, wash your hair with a mild shampoo to remove the excess oil. Follow it up with a nourishing conditioner to lock in moisture and further hydrate your strands. Gently towel-dry your hair and allow it to air-dry whenever possible to minimize heat damage.

It’s important to note that a nariyal tel champi isn’t a one-time solution. To maintain frizz-free and hydrated hair throughout the monsoon season, consider incorporating this ritual into your hair care routine once or twice a week.
