Raveena Tandon Picked A Royal Silk Saree To Receive The Padma Shri Award

Actress Raveena Tandon was awarded with the Padma Shri honour yesterday. The actress shared pictures on her Instagram handle with her husband, daughter and son. For the special occasion, Tandon picked a dull gold and bronze, tissue silk saree which served as the perfect dress code for the day. The simple yet elegant drape of crinkled fabric in bronze featured a thin black border.

She further combined the saree with a mono-sleeved blouse in the shade of black. The dainty embroidery in gold matched the shade of the pallu and added a sense of royalty to the entire look. Following the classic, conventional setup, she further tied her hair into a neat, middle-parted bun, and decorated it with a fresh gajra. Furthermore, Tandon added gold and pearl jhumkas to her look. For makeup, she chose to define her eyes with smoky makeup look, brown lip colour and a black bindi in the centre. In terms of jewellery, the actress adorned her wrist with a statement kundan bangle.

Posing next to Raveena was her daughter, who twinned with her in a monochrome and bronze lehenga saree. She also completed her look with a dainty neckpiece, curled hair and smoky eyes. Raveena Tandon is often talked about on the internet for her collection of silk sarees, glitter-loaded dresses and her forever bond with the colour brown.
