Grey But Fab: 5 Tips To Flaunt Your Uncoloured Grey Hair Like Dilip Joshi’s Daughter Did At Her Wedding

Niyati Joshi, daughter of Taarak Mehta Ka Oooltah Chashmah actor Dilip Joshi has taken social media by storm ever since her wedding. This bride stood out and won over the netizens in the best possible way after she chose to flaunt her grey hair instead of conforming to social norms and covering them up. Niyati is definitely the first bride who did not hide her grey hai. Usually, most of us cover up our white hair instead of embracing them.

I remember back when I was in college, I totally fell in love with the professor who was the head of the department because she would totally flaunt her salt and pepper hair. I still love her and hope to be like when I have greying hair. And my professor did this much before the whole grey hair trend began a few years ago. It was such a blessing to see women, not just in India but across the world embracing their white hair. In fact, we also saw several people colour their hair grey or silver. But we and the Internet are mighty impressed by Dilip Joshi AKA Jethalal’s daughter Niyati Joshi.

Like me and Niyati, if you too have some gorgeous grey hair, here’s how you can not only embrace but flaunt them.

1. Stay Clear Of Colour

First things first, it’s okay to have grey hair so when your hair starts turning white don’t try to cover them up with colour. And if you already have coloured hair, allow your hair to grow. It’s completely okay if your roots are grey and the rest of your head isn’t.

2. Patience Is The Key

Commit to your grey hair and embrace the change. Allowing the greying process to complete can be an emotional and long process. Don’t try to be in a rush to style your grey hair. The upkeep is not going to be tough or expensive like your colour treated hair. So wait for the end result.

3. High Time To Highlight

We totally love Milind Soman for his salt and pepper hair, right? If all grey isn’t your thing and that’s the look you’re aiming for, you can always highlight your hair. And if you have salt and pepper hair and want to go all out, you can always colour your hair grey!

4. Frizz Fight

Grey hair can be coarse so, it is essential that you pick the right products and supplements for your hair. Grey hair also tends to be more frizzy which is why you need to nourish and moisturise them to make sure that you fight the frizz right. Avoid heat treating your hair or washing them with hot or even warm water. Try to use lukewarm or cold water and make oil and conditioner your best friend.

5. Chop Chop

While patience is of the essence when the greying process isn’t complete, it can be difficult to manage. If you’re not the kind who can wait for the greying process to complete, go in for a haircut to suit your style. Grey or salt and pepper bob hairstyles are pretty chic after all.

Go grey and gorgeous, girls!
