Meet Lokmani, The Woman Who Distributed Cold Drinks To Policemen To Appreciate Their Hard Work. We’re So Inspired
I have always believed that one doesn’t have to be too well off in life to be able to do something nice every now and then. Good deeds often come at the hands of the those with big hearts and not big bank balances, and we have been shown this by a woman, who was recently lauded for her generosity and her efforts to distribute cold drinks to policemen as a way to give her thanks to them in such times of a pandemic, for having our backs.
This video of a woman, giving out free bottles of cold drinks to a few policemen went viral and the woman was hailed for her heartwarming gesture, this woman named Lokamani who works in a private school, managed to win all of our hearts, including that of the Andhra Pradesh’s Director General, as Gautam Sawang saluted her for her selfless deed.
And what impressed netizens more is that Lokmani earns all of Rs. 3,500 per month at her job in the Godavari District Private school. And even with that level of income, she didn’t flinch when it came to doing something good for the people who are putting their lives on the line every single day for people like us.

Impressed by her heartfelt gestures, the police chief tracked her down and went on a video conference with her, thanking her for her efforts as he said, “Two days ago your video went viral on social media. You showed your motherly affection for the policemen on duty. The same day I asked the officers to trace you so that I can thank you. I salute you for what you have done. The government and the police are working day and night for people like you.”
Guess, a little gratitude and some compassion is all we need in times like to these to not just revive our faith in the good in people, but also to bind us together and give us courage to fight against this Coronavirus. We need more women like her!
