Usually when I feel the need to get amused, I’m turn on an episode of the iconic TV show Friends or run up to my brother has a sense of humour to die for. But little did I know, that both of these very effective options have met their match, because by the looks of it, reading matrimonial ads in the newspaper has just managed to top the list of things that are deliriously funny. And I say this after a particular matrimonial ad went viral on the internet after the guy posting the ad, laid down his requirements for his bride which were anything but regular. For example, he wants to her to be an “extremist” and “extremely patriotic”.
This is much like an e-commerce site that allows you to add several filters to your search to get the best possible and tailored result, except in this case, you get to cuttle down the extras like a personality and an education and reduce her to a bhakt.
This cool guy is Dr. Abhinao Kumar, a 31-year-old dentist from Bihar who put out an ad in a newspaper looking for a woman who, get this, “is very fair, beautiful, very loyal, very trustworthy, loving, caring, brave, powerful, rich.” It then also went on to say things like, “an extremist but compassionate, an expert in child raising and an excellent cook, Indian Hindu Brahmin girl from Jharkhand or Bihar. SAMPURNA KUNDLI MILAN Aand 36 GUNAS MATCHING MUST.” And honestly, at this point we feel fetching the moon and stars would be much easier and more doable than finding this guy what he is looking for.
