1. Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2016 Roundup

This season Lakmé Fashion Week saw an array of great collections — from beautifully detailed traditional Indianwear by designers such as Sabyasachi and Manish Malhotra, to elegant silhouettes by Payal Singhal, to off-beat boderline androgynous creations by Rajesh Pratap Singh and Ashish N Soni. And how can we forget the plus-size show by aLL and Little Shilpa? With showstopper celebs like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sharaddha Kapoor, and Jacqueline Fernandez on its roster, Lakmé Fashion Week was the most talked-about event this week.

2. H&M Opens Stores In Mumbai

One of the most coveted high-street fashion brands recently opened its doors in Mumbai this month. The Swedish retailer, H&M had first launched its Indian stores in Delhi early last year, leaving all its Mumbai fans disappointed. Not anymore. Fashion lovers hoarded outside the store in High-Street Phoenix, Lower Parel, for hours in anticipation of its opening.

3. Pharrell Williams and Adidas introduce the Hu NMD

Sneakers and Adidas Originals go hand in glove and you wouldn’t want it any other way. The sports brand made all sneakerheads happy by launching its new set of kicks alongside Pharrell Williams — Adidas Hu NMD. The unisex bright yellow model features a newly designed lace system that provides support as well as freedom. ‘Hu’ meaning human, human race, human being, representing the different elements of humanity.

4. Christian Louboutin Releases ‘The Cage’ Collection

When you think of shoes, how can the Louboutins not come to mind? Launching its new collection called ‘The Cage’, the shoes exquisitely focus on the curves, lines, and material. Each design in this collection is a subtle reflection of intimacy and seduction. Known for its famous red soles, a pair of these Louboutins should definitely be on your lust list.

5. India Gets Its Own Version Of ‘Birchbox’

‘The Violet’, an e-commerce start-up by McKinsey, INSEAD, and Ernst & Young alumni, started an online subscription period goodie box which, along with period essentials, sends you samples of cosmetics, chocolates, teas and coffee — comforts every girl needs during their period. For every box sold, sanitary essentials are donated to those less fortunate. You can find them at Period Box.

6. H&M Announces An Exclusive Look For KENZO X H&M

The next KENZO x H&M look will be worn by Norwegian musician, Anna. This look is a modern interpretation by the brands’ creative directors and features a folkloric ribbon dress, with combinations of prints from the collection. It will be made available worldwide, as well as online from November 3.
