This Bride Wore LED Shoes With Her Lehenga And We Think It’s The Cutest Thing

We love weddings. Ours, the neighbours, the cousins. Weddings, in general, get us extremely excited. And it’s not just our outfits that have us browsing manically through Pinterest. We want to create a ‘look’. So we scroll through Instagram, saving pictures of colours that we know will flatter us, jewellery we’ve been lusting after and a clutch that seems just so perfect. And no outfit is complete without sky high, glittery heels that make just the right noise when we enter. But then we have this bride, Lavleen, who decided to ditch the regular and do something unconventional. She paired her lehenga (an unusual but extremely flattering blue) with shoes that light up! Yup, she wore sneakers with lights in them to her wedding function.

First of all, this is amazing because she’s saved herself the almost definite foot ache that follows hours of standing and then limping around in heels. There comes a point in every bride’s life where she must decide between actually wanting her to keep her feet on her or cutting them off, and I can tell you that most of us would choose chopping them off at that point. But Lavleen put herself out of this potential misery by choosing to go with cool shoes that are colourful and bright and obviously comfy!

The bride did choose to go traditional with the other functions – she can be seen wearing a blush pink lehenga for the wedding – but we loved that she chose to go unconventional at the sangeet. We are living for it ’cause we imagine it would be so much easier to dance and shimmy away in sneakers than in heels.

There are plenty of brides that are choosing to ditch the boring and embrace the new with their clothes, their dances and everything about their special day, and we love how we are finally opening up and allowing our women to just be. Yes, we know that weddings bring together two families and all that, but it’s also about the bride and groom and if their personality shines through in the little things they do, then we are all for it!

Seen it all?
