7 Things To Do For Glowing Skin!

Weddings are a lot of fun. Mainly for the guests. Because the bride has a bunch of things to deal with. Cold feet, relatives, makeup, weight and of course, skin. See, skin can do its own thing and start breaking out, looking dull and basically acting up due to all the stress and chaos. And when this shows up on photos, it can be quite the let down when you’ve paid a fortune to the photographer to capture  ‘candid’ moments.

Having bright glowing skin doesn’t necessarily mean you need to go in for expensive facials or go to the Himalayas to breathe in that air. Several lifestyle changes can help you get that glowing skin which will last a really long time and your skin will thank you for it. Here are 7 things to incorporate in your daily routine in order to get the glowing bride of the year award (if there was one).

1. Sweat it out

Sweating regularly is a great way to release toxins and keep your skin healthy and glowing at all times! Engage in a cardio-based workouts that will have you breaking a sweat instantly. If you are feeling a little lazy,  head out to a relaxing steam/sauna sesh to get rid of all the impurities from your pores.

2. Ditch the makeup

Let your skin breathe before you starting loading up all the make for the wedding rituals. If you never wear makeup, then you’re good to go, but if you do, then take it easy prior to the wedding to give your pores some rest time.

3. Stay hydrated

Once you’re done sweating, you need to restore those fluids by staying hydrated. Drink a lot of water in order to keep your skin hydrated from within. Aim for at least 3 litres of water each day and the best way to know if you’ve had enough water is to check if your urine runs clear instead of yellow.

4. Nourish at Night

Stepping out without sunscreen in the day time is a strict no-no. So even if it’s a 5 minute shopping trip, load up on the sunscreen. For the wedding day, get your night time routine in order. This is a must since it is the best time for your skin to absorb all the good stuff without any distractions. Make the products work for you!

5. Exfoliate your skin

You heard it right- buffing, massaging, and polishing is great for glowing skin. Most of our dead skin cells stay on our face for several days since we don’t exfoliate them away. Use a gentle exfoliator with granules or beads to keep your skin smooth and glowing.

6. Avoid having sugar or coffee

These two ingredients can be extremely dehydrating for your skin and can make your skin look dry and dull. Which is clearly not what you need on your wedding day. Cut down on your sugar intake and substitute your coffee with green tea for glowing skin. Apart from avoiding these foods here are a few foods to have for glowing skin.

7. Get good beauty sleep

You might not be sleeping (the late night chats taking up all your time!), but you need good sleep! Sleep is the time when your skin can regenerate and renew itself. If you don’t get enough sleep then your skin can look dull, dry, and patchy. Make 8 hours of sleep per night a priority and don’t compromise on it!
