Vinesh Phogat and other prominent wrestlers accused the WFI Chief and other national camp coaches of sexually harassing female wrestlers for many years.

Wrestler Bajrang Punia said that they will not end their protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar until action is taken against MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

DCW Swati Maliwal extended her support to Vinesh Phogat and other wrestlers. She also issued a notice to Delhi Police and demanded an FIR on this case.

BJP MP and WFI President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh denied all the allegations and said he will hang himself if the allegations by the wrestlers turned out to be true.

The Sports Ministry asked the WFI Chief to respond to the sexual harassment allegation in 72 hours or else, they will take action against him.

Babita Phogat, a champion wrestler and BJP leader assured Vinesh Phogat that the government is with them and she is trying to solve the matter.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra called the female wrestlers "nation's pride" in a tweet and asked for an immediate probe into this case.
