On June 3, 2013, Nishabd actress Jiah Khan was found dead at her Juhu home in Mumbai.

The actress had allegedly committed suicide, and her ex-boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi was arrested in the case.

Jiah Khan’s mother Rabia Khan appealed for a CBI investigation after Sooraj Pancholi was granted bail in the case.

Rabia Khan accused Sooraj Pancholi of physically and mentally torturing her daughter.

After a thorough investigation into the Jiah Khan suicide case, the CBI concluded that there was no foul play.

The courts further rejected many pleas by Rabia Khan for allotting a Special Investigating Team for the case.
