Grab some flax seeds, a pot, a strainer, a bowl, and optional essential oil.

Step 2

Boil 3 tablespoons of flax seeds in 2 cups of water until it turns into a gel (around 5-10 mins). Stir while you're at it.

Pour that gel through a strainer into a bowl. Cool it down a bit.

Throw in a few drops of your favorite essential oil into the mix. Smells good, right?

Apply this flaxseed gel to your dry or damp hair, from roots to tips. Use your fingers or a brush.

Wrap your hair up (towel or cap) and leave the gel in for at least 30 mins, or even overnight if you're up for it. Then, just wash it out with shampoo and conditioner like you usually do.
