3 Natural Face Masks That Are Great For Glowing Skin

The wedding season is here and getting perfectly glowing skin is on top priority on everyone’s lists! Investing in expensive face masks can really burn a hole in our pockets, so why not whip up a few ingredients that are lying around in our kitchens and make the most of it? At-home-DIY face masks are obviously au naturale so you don’t have to worry about any harsh chemicals messing with your skin texture. Here are 3 amazing face masks that you can make at home from using the ingredients that you find in your kitchen. Also, I will share 5 tips on getting glowing skin just by changing a few of your daily habits.

1. Honey Lemon Face Mask

All  you need is some lemon and honey. Mix 1 tbsp of honey and 1/2 a lemon in a bowl and apply it on your face. This mask can sting slightly if you have any open cuts, so do a patch test before you apply it. Keep it on for 15 mins and then rinse your face with cool water.

2. Tomato Sugar Exfoliator

This is a great way to naturally exfoliate your skin. Pour some sugar on the tomato and scrub it on your skin. Sugar will help you exfoliate your skin due to it’s granule size and texture. Tomato has bleaching properties so it will definitely brighten your skin and help you de-tan as well. Leave it on for 15 mins and wash it off with cold water.

3. Turmeric Face Mask

For this mask you will need turmeric powder, lemon, honey, and yogurt. Turmeric has anti-oxidant properties which help fight signs of ageing and in our elaborate Indian weddings we even have an event dedicated to that- the haldi. We all know that yogurt is extremely moisturising so this mask will definitely give you an instant glow. Keep this mask on for 15 to 20 minutes and rinse it off.

Additionally, to get glowing skin from within, here are 5 tips that you need to follow:

  1. Drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water a day, because water makes it easy for your body to flush out the toxins quickly.
  2. Practice breathing exercises to get your blood flowing.
  3. Exfoliate once a week and never forget to moisturise.
  4. Maintain a healthy diet consisting of fruits, nuts and natural ingredients.
  5. Sweat it out! Haven’t you ever noticed that pink flush on your face after you’ve worked out? Sweating increases the blood flow and gives you a perfect glow.
