Yograj Singh’s Absurd Comments On Women

In a conversation with Samdish, Yograj Singh mentioned former prime minister Indira Gandhi, claiming that she harmed the country during her time in office. He stated that if a woman is asked to manage a household, it would end in disaster. He further added that women should be given love, respect, and honour instead of power. On being asked about why women should be denied power, he stated that they would ruin everything around them if given the chance. He also claimed that he has seen mothers and women take power for themselves when it is given to them.

His unreasonable comments don’t end here. Yograj Singh also stated that Hindi is a language meant for women. He suggested that men should speak Punjabi instead. He felt that speaking in Hindi seemed lifeless and too feminine. Reacting to his comment, one user on X wrote, “Madam@rajlali. Kindly take strict action against him as taken by you in case of jathedars.” What he said is demeaning and disgraceful, as it shows a lack of respect for women and their abilities. By claiming that women should not have power and that Hindi is a language for them, he is reinforcing harmful stereotypes that limit women’s roles in society. Such comments are not only offensive but also promote the idea that women are inferior to men.
