India and South Africa’s grand finale took place in DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai. The neck and neck match grabbed many eyeballs. SA put up a tough fight against the Indian women’s cricket team, but the latter won the match by 52 runs. The team was led by Harmanpreet Kaur, and this is the first time the Indian women’s team has won a World Cup, and they have not earned the title of Champions.
Earlier, the World Cup winning captains were Kapil Dev who got India its first trophy in 1983, and the same moment was recreated when Harmanpreet Kaur’s team won its first for India in 2025. Even Mahendra Singh Dhoni has his on this list after he got India the World Cup in 2011.
