Woman Calls Sarah Brady ‘Gross’ For Sharing Jonah Hill’s Texts. We Find The Pick-Me Behaviour More Gross
This woman clearly missed the point.

The one thing that everyone is talking right now is about the text messages Jonah Hill sent to his ex-girlfriend Sarah Brady and how he was trying to emotionally abuse her. For the past couple of days, Sarah has sharing screenshots of the texts Jonah sent her as proof of how he was trying to manipulate and gaslight her in the name of “setting boundaries”. Amidst this conversation, someone on Twitter wrote that Sarah should not have leaked those text messages no matter what. Well, they are also being called out now.

This Twitter user whose username is @emilynussbaum took to the micro-blogging platform to write how one must not share their ex’s private text messages even if they were a ‘thin-skinned manipulative weasel’. The user also wrote that leaking private text messages is only understandable unless there is a solid reason to do so. Further, the user also wrote that this was a common etiquette but clearly isn’t anymore.
It’s gross to post your ex’s private texts unless you have a really solid reason to do so—& this holds true even if your ex was a thin-skinned, manipulative weasel. That used to be a given, but it clearly isn’t anymore

Twitterati rushed to share their counter opinions on this as one of them wrote how Sarah Brady sharing those text messages has empowered others to come forward who have been through such emotional abuse.

Another wrote how discussing trauma leads to fighting the stigma of going through the said trauma.
Discussing abuse is part of erasing stigma. This includes dispelling the “it can’t happen to me” myth among the pretty, privileged elite. Also someone who claims body positivity allyship then abusively controls their partner should be called out for their hypocrisy. Go Sarah ❤️

Another also wrote that by sharing those texts, Sarah is allowing others to recognise patterns with their partners, and make an exit right away if they do find so.
By sharing those texts she’s helping other women identify toxic behavior. And that is way more impt than a man’s feelings.

While many people went ahead to call out the Twitter user for criticising Sarah Brady.
white ppl do love these kinds of respectability politics “sure the guy was a manipulative weasel who may have emotionally abused you, but the way you went about calling him out is the bigger issue” https://t.co/sbJViuoXvg

Another said that one of the aspects of feminism is to stand against the abuse done by men to women.

Another wrote that the abuse Sarah Brady faced at the hands of Jonah Hill was ‘solid reason’ enough for her to share those texts.
the abuse was the really solid reason hope this helps https://t.co/Zd4nN1Ttgo

One of the Twitter users went ahead to point out how when women don’t share proof of being abused, they are termed as liars and when they do, it is termed as ‘gross’.
if women don’t share proof, they’re lying. if they do, it’s gross?? sorry but not posting these kind of texts is exactly how men get away with this type of serious gaslighting & emotional abuse. https://t.co/WXQN51PE0g

Another user went on to say that Sarah made the abuse done by Jonah public and there is nothing wrong with that.
So many things to say about this truly baffling and awful take so I'll just go with this one: "they are HER texts. They are texts she received that contain abuse. She didn't leak video or text him doing something mildly embarrassing. She posted his abuse. You get that, right?" https://t.co/OB5X0cBTt4

Sarah Brady and Jonah Hill were together for a year but the couple hardly shared pictures of them on social media.
