In a strange turn of events, a 26-year-old woman from UP’s Muradnagar has accused her husband and in-laws of body-shaming her. She claimed that the family demanded that she look like the famous Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi. The recently married woman said that her husband, a physical education teacher from Meerut, pressured her to spend three hours at the gym daily, according to reports. Read to know more here.

Man Forces Wife To Look Like Nora Fatehi

As per The Times of India, the woman claimed that if she missed her workouts, her 28-year-old husband would stop her from eating to prevent weight gain. She said that she was constantly taunted about her looks by her husband, saying that his life was ruined as he could’ve married a woman who looked like Nora Fatehi. The report also added claims of harassment for dowry by her in-laws, even after spending Rs 75 Lakhs at the wedding and gifting a Mahindra Scorpio, cash, and jewellery to her husband.

This did not stop here; the UP woman also claimed that she was given abortion pills by her husband without her knowing, leading to a miscarriage. She mentioned that she found out about her pregnancy two months before and told her mother-in-law about it, who did not show any interest. After that, her husband gave her a pill, which she later found out caused abortions. Her health was impacted, and she was admitted to a hospital where the doctors told her she was having a miscarriage.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Dhawal Jaiswal confirmed that the police have registered a case against the husband and her parents under relevant sections of dowry harassment, intentional humiliation, and abortion. Further updates are yet to be received.
