Faridabad Gang R*pe Incident: Woman Suffers From Fractured Eye-Socket, Face Swelling; Accused Men Arrested

A woman was allegedly gang-r*ped in Faridabad on December 30.

In a tragic news peice today, a woman was allegeldy gang-r*ped in a moving van in Faridabad. This incident, which happened on Tuesday, December 30, has once again reminded us that we have a long way to go when it comes to women’s safety. The alleged r*pe reportedly caused multiple facial injuries and more. Read ahead to know additional details about the brutal and heartbreaking incident.

Woman Allegedly Gang-R*ped In Faridabad

According to NDTV’s report, a woman, 28, was waiting for vehical to go home at night when a van stopped and the two men inside lured her to get in by saying that they would drop her home. The van made its move towards Gurgaon Road after which she was allegedly r*ped in the vehicle. Even after trying to stop it, the accused continued r*ping and threatening her. She was in the van for almost two and a half hours.

According to the report, the 28-year-old was thrown out of the moving vehicle near SGM Nagar’s Raja Chowk. Due to the alleged incident, she was bled heavily and also suffered injuries on her face. She then repeatedly called her sister and when she called back, the 28-year-old told her about the incident. The woman’s family rushed her to the hospital in a critical condition. Her sister revealed in the complaint that the 28-year-old called her around 8:30 pm, a day before the incident and informed her about an argument she had with her mother along with revealing that she was visiting a friend at their house. She had also informed that she would come back in three hours. The woman’s condition is now stable.

According to Hindustan Times, doctors revealed that the woman’s injuries include broken facial cavities and a dislocated shoulder, adding that her eye socket is fractured and there’s swelling on her face. It was revealed that they were planning to treat her shoulder fracture and dislocation with surgery. Facial wounds, which required around 20 stitches, were probably the result of her falling on a hard surface after she was pushed out of the moving van, per the doctors. Additionally, officials revealed that most of the injuries were a result of resistance and from being thrown out of the vehicle. 

The accused men in the case have been arrested and the van that they allegedly used has also been recovered. It was revealed that the woman is married but lives separately from her husband due to domestic issues. She also has three children.
