A very young BJP candidate named Shagun Parihar has won the Kishtwar constituency in Jammu And Kashmir. She won the constituency by 541 seats and it’s a big win. Shagun Parihar also comes with some very good educational qualifications and has a strong base of supporters in her constituency. Read on to know more.

BJP’s Shagun Parihar won the Kishtwar constituency by defeating National Conference’s Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo. Shagun’s main agenda in Jammu And Kashmir was to unite people from all ethnicities to come together against terrorism in the state. Her win was celebrated in the region. Shagun Parihar is only 29 years old and has a Mtech degree in electrical power systems.
She is currently preparing for the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission exams. However, by taking the responsibilities of her constituency, Shagun Parihar aims to maintain peace and harmony in the region. For the unversed, BJP’s first win in Kishtwar was in 2014.

Shagun Parihar also went through some very unfortunate events in life. Her father and uncle who were also BJP candidates were shot dead by terrorists in 2018. During her election campaign, the 29-year-old candidate assured the voters that the votes would be for every family who has lost their loved ones to terrorism.
On the other hand, wrestler Vinesh Phogat also secured a big win from the Julana constituency in the Jind district. The Congress candidate defeated BJP’s Yogesh Bairagi. Many women in Haryana are hopeful after Phogat’s win and are hoping her to become the State’s sports minister.
