According to the reports, Indian presenter Ridhima Pathak was dropped as the host of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The local media reported that the sources from the Bangladesh Cricket Board had confirmed it. However, Ridhima Pathak took to her social media handle to dismiss these reports. In this note, she acknowledged that there were many reports around her being ‘dropped’ from BPL, and she dismissed it as ‘not true’. Furthermore, she also stated that her country comes before any professional assignment and therefore, it was her decision to opt out from the league. She expressed her stand for the the integrity and spirit of the game. She also thanked fans for the wishes, and ended the note by stating that ‘cricket deserves truth.’
