Who Is Major Rishma Sarin?
Major Rishma Sarin is late Major Mohit Sharma’s wife. As per a report by Bollywoodshaadis, Rishma Sarin is now a Lieutenant Colonel. She is serving in the same corps as her father, Retired Colonel Mohanlal Sarin. Rishma Sarin holds a senior position in the Indian army, and has been contributing to the Indian army immensely with her work and continuing her husband’s legacy. As per a TOI report, she was also the first female officer to serve as an Agniveer Recruiter in 2023. She also has two children with late Major Mohit Sharma.
For the unversed, Major Mohit Sharma’s parents had moved to the court seeking a halt on Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar. They claimed that the film was based on their son’s life and that no consent was taken by the makers of the film. However, the court and later CBFC’s decision on the matter came in favour of the film. It was clarified that the film was not based on the martyr’s life. Aditya Dhar had also addressed these claims and clarified that it was not inspired from Major Mohit Sharma’s life, and that if he ever plans to do that, he would take all the necessary permission for it.

Dhurandhar released in theatres on December 5.
