Jyoti Malhotra, a 33-year-old travel vlogger from Hisar, ran a popular YouTube channel called ‘Travel with Jo’. She had over 377,000 subscribers, and her travel stories won hearts across India and beyond. But behind her cheerful online persona, authorities claim she was involved in something far more serious—spying for Pakistan. Her arrest has stunned everyone. She is one of six arrests in Haryana and Punjab.

Haryana police arrested Jyoti Malhotra under the Official Secrets Act, 1923, and Section 152 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The YouTuber confessed to sharing sensitive information, and her case is now with the Economic Offences Wing. A five-day police custody was ordered to dig deeper into her actions. Her troubles began in 2023 when she visited Pakistan twice. During these trips, she met Ehsan-ur-Rahim, also known as Danish, a staff member at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi. According to police, he connected her with operatives like Ali Ehwan, Shakir, and Rana Shahbaz. To stay under the radar, she saved their numbers under fake names like Jatt Randhawa. They communicated through applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and Snapchat, which raised concerns about her intentions.
