Popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia AKA Beerbiceps has found himself in a grave controversy after making a rather inappropriate joke on Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent. His plea was heard by the Supreme Court bench today and the YouTuber was represented by Abhinav Chandrachud. For the unversed, Ranveer Allahbadia’s advocate is the son of former Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and he pursued his law degree from Mumbai. Read on to know more.

Who Is Abhinav Chandrachud?

Abhinav Chandrachud is representing Ranveer Allahbadia before the court for his India’s Got Latent controversy. During the court hearing, the lawyer accepted that he was “disgusted” by Ranveer’s inappropriate joke on the show, however, he also argued that it was not criminal conduct.

In 2008, Abhinav Chandrachud graduated from Government Law College, Mumbai. He then went on to pursue his Master’s degree in law at Harvard Law School as a Dana Scholar. The former CJI’s son also holds degrees like a Doctor of the Science of Law (JSD) and a Master of the Science of Law (JSM) from Stanford Law School. Abhinav Chandrachud comes with a lot of experience as a lawyer and he has worked at various firms before. As per reports, Abhinav Chandrachud also worked as an associate attorney at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, a global law firm.

He has also written many books like Supreme Whispers: Conversations with Judges of the Supreme Court of India 1980-1989 and Republic of Rhetoric: Free Speech and the Constitution of India.

For the unversed, Ranveer Allahbadia has been granted interim protection against the arrest by the Supreme Court bench of Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh. However, he has been banned from doing shows until further notice from the court!
