Was A Man Fired From Astronomer For Booking Andy Byron, Kristin Cobat’s Coldplay Concert? What We Know!

As the viral clip of Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot getting cosy at a Coldplay concert continues to flood social media, an unexpected twist has added fuel to the fire. A man named Alex Cohen claimed on X (formerly Twitter) that he was fired by Astronomer for booking the very concert tickets that led to the now-infamous Kiss Cam moment and the alleged affair being exposed. But is there any truth to this claim? Let’s break it down.

What Went Down At The Concert?

At Coldplay’s recent show at Gillette Stadium, the band’s Kiss Cam caught Byron and Cabot sitting close together, visibly flustered as they suddenly appeared on the big screen. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin even joked, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just really shy,” prompting laughter from the crowd and instant viral attention online. The clip quickly made rounds on TikTok, Reddit, and X. While some netizens treated it as meme material, others pointed out the inappropriate nature of the moment especially since Byron is reportedly married.

Soon after the video went viral, Alex Cohen posted on X claiming he was fired from Astronomer for purchasing those tickets. He wrote that the CEO and HR head “blamed [him] for getting caught” and let him go immediately. Naturally, the internet was intrigued. But within hours, people began digging and the truth came out.

The Real Story Behind Alex Cohen

Social media users looked up Cohen’s LinkedIn profile and discovered that he is actually the co-founder of a healthcare startup called HelloPatient. There’s no record of him ever working at Astronomer. Many users concluded that his post was a made-up story to ride the viral wave and draw attention to his company. One user summed it up: “I was literally writing a fake version of this exact post and stopped,  because I knew Alex Cohen probably already beat me to it.”
