Navy Worker Kills Lover, Butchers Her Remains, Later Confesses To His Crime

A 30-something-year-old employee (various sources have reported differently), Ch. Ravindra from the INS Dega killed his lover on Sunday, March 29. The woman, Polipalli Mounika, had allegedly met Ravindra on Mingle, a dating application, in 2021. They continued seeing each other till 2026, despite Ravindra’s 2024 marriage.

With Ravindra’s spouse being out of town to visit her parents, he called Mounika over. What was supposed to be a clandestine meeting turned into a dreadful crime of passion as he strangled the woman and later sliced her head, limbs, and torso up.

The lower limbs were stored in a trolley bag, while the head and hands were supposedly set on fire in a separate location. Meanwhile, the torso was kept in a refrigerator. To separate all the body parts, Ravindra ordered a knife from an online delivery app. This happened on Sunday evening.

After attempting to dispose of the body parts, Ravindra confessed to his gruesome crime. When the police reached the location, they recovered the woman’s body parts from the fridge, but the head seems to be missing still. A case of murder has been filed, and the police are in the process of recovering the body parts.

Apparently, Ravindra had decided to take this drastic step of murdering Mounika due to her constant threats to reveal their affair. As mentioned above, Ravindra had been married to another woman since 2024. Blackmailing him, Mounika had earlier received about Rs. 3.5 lakh in exchange for her silence. This time, however, their argument escalated and ended with Ravindra killing Mounika. The murder was allegedly premeditated, as the Naval employee was reportedly frustrated by the threats.
