Uorfi Javed Slams Sadhguru For Calling LGBTQ A “Campaign” In Old Video

Uorfi Javed is the one actress who we’ve known to be outspoken without the fear of being politically incorrect and it’s rather commendable. At a time when most A-listers of B-town are joining hands with spiritual guru Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev for his latest campaign to save the soil and the environment, Uorfi Javed took to Instagram to call out the man for his comments on the LGBTQ community that are rather problematic TBH.

Criticising Sadhguru’s comments on the LGBTQ+ community, Uorfi Javed told her followers that anyone who follows the “cult leader” should unfollow her. The spiritual guru had called the LGBTQ+ community a “campaign”. Sharing the video of Sadhuguru’s speech, Uorfi Javed pointed out that the LGBTQ community isn’t small but the spiritual leader’s brain is.

In another Instagram story, the former Bigg Boss OTT contestant called Sadhguru’s comments “propaganda” and said that it should not be encouraged while adding that the LGBTQ+ community needs everyone’s support. Pointing out that for the longest time, people from the community were forced to hide their sexuality and pretend to be someone else, Uorfi Javed said that such campaigns are necessary. She concluded by saying that campaigns and parades are what tell people that it’s fine to be themselves and that irrespective of who they love, they are accepted.

For the unversed, the viral video of spiritual guru, Sadhguru’s speech was from 2018 when he interacted with students at Bengaluru’s Mount Carmel College during the Youth and Truth movement. In his speech, Sadhguru said that people should stop campaigning about for or against the LGBTQ+ community and let “nature” take its course while calling sexuality a “biological process”. He also claimed that if people quit campaigning about it, the size of the community will reduce while adding that the campaign is the cause behind the spike in the number of people joining the LGBTQ+ community.
