Unnao R*pe Case: Ex-BJP MLA’s Daughter Seeks Justice After 8 Years, Says They’re Losing Faith!

The Supreme Court heard the case filed against the Unnao r*pe convict and former BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar’s bail granted by the Delhi High Court. The CBI challenged it. And the SC put a stay on the HC’s judgement, making it clear that the convict would not be released from custody. Now, after eight years of silence, the convict’s daughter has spoken up. Unnao R*pe Convict’s Daughter Pens A Note

Former BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar’s daughter penned a note on X (former Twitter) in which she expressed feeling ‘exhausted’ and ‘frightened’, and the open letter was addressed to the Supreme Court. It comes after SC’s judgement. Sengar’s daughter Ishita Sengar further wrote that she and her family have been waiting for justice by putting their faith into the justice system and constitution. She stated that her faith was breaking and therefore she decided to speak up.

As per the note, Ishita Sengar also opened up about getting death and r*pe threats on social media, and her identity being boiled down to just being the daughter of the ‘Former BJP MLA’. Ishita wrote that the family chose silence hoping they would be granted justice from the judiciary, however, as per that, the silence only cost them financial, emotional, and physical strain. As per Ishita, she has written the letter not to gain sympathy or favour but to seek justice, and be heard. Here’s the tweet.
