Celebs Losing Blue Tick Sparks A Meme Fest, But Twitter Has Desi Nuskhe To Stay Verified!

It is somewhat ironic that a blue tick on social media determines how relevant and irrelevant you are. Popularity and status depend on whether you have that blue tick beside your profile or not. People would like pride in having gotten the blue tick beside their name on Twitter. But it was all do pal ki khushi it seems because Elon Musk has shattered all their dreams as now those who want to stay ‘verified’ will have to pay a monthly subscription to keep that blue tick. This big change has gotten some of the most popular celebrities to lose their verified status, and has sparked a memefest on the micro-blogging platform!

The most savage memes are being made by Tweeple on those who lost their verified status.

The parody and spam accounts are having a field day poking fun at popular accounts not having the coveted blue tick. The tick’s removal comes as a uniform policy in schools where everyone now looks the same!

The meme accounts that have the blue tick are the ones laughing the most right now.

Someone also compared the old blue tick and the new blue tick policy to the demonitised notes!

Kevin Pieterson, the former English cricket player, tried to be a little too noble as he was spreading “positivity” about not having a blue tick when he had one himself. This is such first-world behaviour!

It looks like only celebrity Twitter accounts have taken the hit as official government accounts have retained their blue tick, and of course the ones who paid for it have it.

Well, fans will now have a hard time finding authentic celebrity accounts on Twitter because it will be difficult to differentiate between parody and OG accounts. And not to forget that Twitter will earn loads of money if these celebs offer to pay Rs 6800 per year for that measly little blue tick. How the tables have turned!
