The sudden death of actor Twisha Sharma under mysterious circumstances raised many eyebrows. The incident happened on May 12, in her in-laws’ house in Bhopal. Her husband, Samarth and mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, were arrested in the case. According to the latest updates, the CBI has filed a chargesheet against both the accused before a court in Bhopal. CBI Files Chargesheet In Twisha Sharma Death Case
The CBI has filed a 636-page chargesheet in the Twisha Sharma death case, in Bhopal. Going by the reports, the chargesheet has accused the mother-in-law and husband under Sections 80(2), 85, 108 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. Giribala Singh and Samarth have been booked for abetment to suicide and dowry charges.
However, the reports further suggest that CBI has not found any substantial evidence to prove that Twisha Sharma was m*rdered. Although Twisha’s family had alleged that their daughter was harassed by the in-laws and was ultimately hanged under the disguise of committing su*cide, as per a News 18 report. The CBI has attached various WhatsApp conversations and calls, and other digital evidence. Going by the reports, the CBI investigated the dowry harassment allegations against Twisha Sharma’s in-laws, which ultimately led to the actor’s death. Reportedly, the agency has concluded that it was death by su*cide.
The CBI also investigated the allegations of evidence tampering against Giribala Singh. The CCTV footage of the particular incident was also checked by the officials during the investigation. From hereon, the fate of the accused would be decided based on the judicial proceedings.
