Did Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati Escape India Amid  S*xual Harassment Case? Here’s What We Know

Recently, Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati was accused of s*xual harrassment. 17 women came forward to speak against the self-proclaimed Godman. Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati is the director of a popular ashram in Delhi, and people even allege that the staff members of the ashram were involved in the abuse that the victims faced. Now, a FIR has been lodged against Saraswati, and the police are currently trying to locate him. Read on to know more. 

Has Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati Flown Abroad To Escape Arrest? 

Despite the FIR against Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati being lodged against him at the Vasant Kunj North police station in Delhi, he has yet to be found and arrested. The authorities are conducting raids all across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana to locate the Godman. Police have also released a secular to prevent him from escaping through a disguise or identity change. Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati’s last known location was recorded to be Agra, and some sources indicate that the Baba might have flown abroad to escape charges.

When the FIR was filed, Saraswati was in London. Police raids at the institute and his known homes were unsuccessful, even though he eventually returned to India. Amid allegations of tampering, police examined CCTV camera footage on campus and sent video recorder hard drives that were retrieved from the institute to FSL.

Upon further investigation, the police revealed that hidden cameras had been installed in girls’ bathrooms and outside private rooms in the hostel of the ashram. They also reveal that Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati’s phone was linked to the hidden cameras, which allowed him to keep an eye on the girls. Police have also seized his BMW, in which he used to come visit the girls. During the investigation, the police also discovered that the diplomatic number plate being used by Chaitanyananda Saraswati for his BMW was forged.
