As people remembered his political career trajectory, many also realised the support his wife, Sunetra Pawar, provided him. Who Is Sunetra Pawar?
Late Maharashtra Deputy CM, Ajit Pawar’s wife Sunetra, who was born in 1963, is a politician, social worker and entrepreneur. It’s worth mentioning that she is currently serving as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, representing Maharashtra. Additionally, Sunetra Pawar is also reportedly the chairperson of Baramati Hi-Tech Textile Park. Apart from that, she has been a member of the World Entrepreneurship Forum in France since 2011. When it comes to her social work, Ajit Pawar’s wife founded The Environmental Forum of India NGO in 2010. Additionally, Sunetra Pawar is a trustee of Baramati’s Vidya Pratishthan, an educational institution.
When Did She Marry Ajit Pawar?
Ajit Pawar and Sunetra Pawar tied the knot in December 1985. As per reports, it was an arranged marriage that was seemingly rooted in political alliances. Padamsinh Patil, Sunetra Pawar’s brother, was a close aide of Ajit Pawar’s uncle, Sharad Pawar. Their friendship turned into a familial bond as the late Maharashtra deputy CM and Sunetra Pawar tied the knot. The couple welcomed two sons named Parth and Jay.
For the unversed, Ajit Pawar boarded the Learjet 45 aircraft on Wednesday, which also carried his personal security officer Vidit Jadhav, attendant Pinki Mali, captain Shambhavi Pathak and Pilot in Command, Captain Sumit Kapur. Sadly, due to technical difficulties, the plane veered off the runway and burst into flames around 8:45 AM at Baramati Airport.
