Here is what the victim’s father had to say.

Raja and Sonam went missing on May 23 in Meghalaya while on their honeymoon. His body was found on June 2. On June 9, Sonam, who had been missing, mysteriously surfaced in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur, the hometown of Kushwaha, claiming she had been kidnapped and brought to the city against her will. The police, however, didn’t believe her story and arrested her, saying they had evidence against her.

Raja Raghuvanshi’s Father Says Sonam Used Black Magic On Him

Reports from PTI say that Raja’s father, Ashok Raghuvanshi, believed his daughter-in-law used black magic against his son. According to Ashok, Raja had hung a bundle-like object on the main door of their house at Sonam’s request. She said that this will protect their household from the evil eye.

Raja’s mother, Uma, said that Raja and Sonam were manglik, and they got married according to the customs and muhurat as suggested by Sonam’s family. His mother solemnly says that if she ever gets to meet Sonam Raghuvanshi, the only thing she would like to ask her is why she got her son killed.

Police Investigating More Angles In The Murder Case

The police are currently investigating more angles for Raja’s murder. The Meghalaya DGP has said that they suspect that a love triangle may not be the only reason behind Raja Raghuvanshi’s murder. He further said that the authorities do have enough evidence and are currently working to tie up all loose ends of the case.

The couple went missing on May 23 while they were on their honeymoon trip. Raja’s body was found in a deep gorge near Weisawdong Falls on June 2. Then, his wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, was found estranged near a Dhaba in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, on June 9. Ghazipur was the hometown of Sonam’s alleged lover Raj Khushawa, with whom Sonam had conspired to murder Raja. The wife claimed that she was kidnapped and abandoned in Ghazipur; however, the police did not believe her story and arrested her right on the spot.
