Did You Know Sonam Raghuvanshi’s Alleged Lover Stocked Groceries Worth 5K In Indore Hideout?

In a shocking twist to the ongoing investigation into the Meghalaya honeymoon murder case, police have uncovered that Sonam Raghuvanshi, accused of plotting her husband Raja Raghuvanshi’s murder, was hiding in an Indore apartment allegedly stocked with groceries worth 5,000, supplied by her suspected lover Raj Kushwaha. Investigators revealed that the Indore flat, located in Dewas Naka, was rented soon after Raja’s killing.

Sonam Raghuvani Had An Indore Hideout

The lease was signed on May 30 by Vishal Singh Chauhan, one of the three men allegedly hired to carry out the brutal murder. Chauhan is believed to be the one who struck Raja with a machete during the attack, according to police sources. The rented flat is thought to have served as a safe house for Sonam after she fled the crime scene. Raja’s body was found on June 2 in a deep gorge near a waterfall in Meghalaya’s East Khasi Hills region. Authorities say the entire operation was premeditated, with each step carefully planned.

A local source revealed that Kushwaha had ordered essential supplies online for the hideout, amounting to ₹5,000 in groceries. The apartment itself had been rented for ₹17,000 a month with a ₹34,000 deposit. Shilom James, a property agent from Indore, said that Chauhan approached him for the rental and completed all necessary paperwork. However, James admitted that he couldn’t confirm whether Chauhan or anyone else ever stayed in the flat, as the building lacked CCTV cameras and remains largely unoccupied.

James informed the police about the rental soon after news broke of the murder. The flat has since remained locked, with the keys reportedly still in Chauhan’s possession.

Back in their hometown, Raja’s family has urged authorities to go deeper into the investigation. His elder brother, Sachin Raghuvanshi, has called for narco-analysis tests on both Sonam and Kushwaha, believing they are covering up the real story by accusing each other. He also alleged that Sonam’s mother was aware of her relationship with Kushwaha before the wedding.

The family is demanding a swift trial in a fast-track court and has called for the harshest punishment for those involved. Sonam and Raja were married on May 11 and travelled to Meghalaya for their honeymoon on May 20. He was reported missing on May 23. Sonam was later found in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, where she surrendered to the police on June 9.

So far, five people have been arrested in this chilling murder case.
