Smriti Irani’s statement on paid period leaves received backlash on the internet. During a podcast, Smriti Irani addressed the controversy and revealed her miscarriage during her time as an actress. These statements came in response to a woman who claimed to be from the industry and had attacked Smriti Irani by saying that her life must have been easy because she had a vanity van. The WCD minister recalled her days as an actress and stated that it was not as easy as people believe it. She narrated the sad incident of her miscarriage on the set. Smriti Irani further talked about how she managed her responsibilities as a mother and an actress.
