Raipur Lawyer Arrested After Making Threatening Calls To Shah Rukh Khan
Last week, the Bandra police got a call that threatened Shah Rukh Khan and demanded ₹50 lakh. In response, the police tracked down a lawyer in Chhattisgarh named Faizan Khan. According to news reports, a senior police officer stated that the threat call was made from a phone registered in his name as Faizan claimed he had lost his phone. After Faizan failed to show up for interrogation, he was arrested by the Mumbai Police. Currently, the accused is being questioned. As per PT, Faizan claimed he lost his phone last week and filed a complaint at the Khamardih police station. He said the threat call from his number was part of a plot against him. He also mentioned that he had filed a complaint against Shah Rukh Khan because of a line in his film Anjaam in reference to deer hunting.
“I am from Rajasthan, and my friend is from the Bishnoi community, which is from Rajasthan. They believe in protecting deer as part of their religion. So, if a Muslim says something like that about deer, it’s wrong. That’s why I objected,” he added. For the unversed, Bandra police filed a case against the caller for extortion and criminal intimidation under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
