As per reports, three people stopped her while making content, made a video of her by force, and later demanded money from her. When she refused to pay it, they tried to blackmail her by spreading some parts of that video on WhatsApp. She had also lodged a complaint with the police regarding this, and later, the three accused were also arrested. But now, cybercriminals have started spreading fake links in her name.
When someone’s name suddenly starts trending online, cybercriminals become active and start spreading fake posts and links with the same name. Usually, they share a blurry picture of the person and write luring lines such as ‘watch the viral video’ or ‘watch the full video here.’ And just as a person clicks on it, they are taken to many malicious websites. In some unfortunate cases, malware is downloaded on phones, while at other times, their private information and passwords are obtained by showing fake login pages.
